Twycross Zoo, Last Hen and Sunflower Fields!
Another busy weekend. I looked after my nephew for the day and we went to the zoo. One of my childhood friends had a hen party, and I finally convinced my family to come to the sunflower fields!

I had such a fun, fun long weekend break and spent so much time with lovely family. After working 3 shifts, I was asked to look after my nephew to allow my cousin time to sort the house out for guests incoming. I decided to take us to the zoo and it was so much fun. They had the lego sculptures out which is always so incredible to see.
My nephew was so sweet. He seemed to really like the animals this time, which he didn't as much last time I went with him. He especially liked the penguins because they were making bubbles and all the monkeys. We got to each animal with such good timing because loads of them were being fed so were really close and having lots of antics. We also saw some baby monkeys climbing and breastfeeding. It was all so cute and watching my nephew interact with them was perfect. It was a lovely hot day, so we ended up going to the splash pad as well. After 30 minutes, he still had the biggest smile on his face, but was stood their shivering. I spent the next 15 minutes trying to convince him to leave and eventually he did and we both got changed in our second outfits.
The next day I travelled down to Wakefield for the last of the hen parties. It was one of my childhood high school friends and we headed to Leeds. We started with drinks at a pub, before a cocktail making class at Tailors. Then we headed to Roxy for some nibbles, drinks and darts, and had a meal at Revolutions. Honestly, the food was the biggest disappointment. It was not good and the portions were tiny. I was still pretty hungry by the end of the meal. The final stop on the agenda was Banyan for drinks. I wasn't feeling more drinks at that point, so I headed off a little early and Hannah joined me as she had to pick up her boyfriend from the train station. We both ended up getting dessert from Wetherspoon's and it's the first time since pre-covid (I think) that I'd had it and it was delicious!
The next day, I finally convinced family to come with my to the Sunflower Fields. I have been wanting to go for a few weeks but had no one to go with, and I needed someone to take pictures of me, of course! They insisted on bringing the dogs, so when we got their for lunch we were absolutely freezing cold for the duration of the meal, but at least it was yummy.
Then we made our way to the fields and it was so pretty. I loved all the photo opportunities and I think even the dogs enjoyed it, getting out and about. The final yellow props really stood out!
In the evening, I headed down to Wales to visit my dad. When I got there, my sister and her family had already been there a couple of days. They were all outside with the fire pit so we spent a little while talking and catching up, before heading to bed.
