Office Days, Role Play and York Trip!

With two weeks of annual leave, I picked up quite a few extra shifts, before having some downtime with friends and family.

It's so frustrating how I can have such good days and then other times such poor days. I really wish my emotions were more stable but maybe this is how life is now.

I had a lovely day working as a PMA supporting Newly Qualified Midwives at the Trust. I actually had my first presentation to welcome new starters which was so much fun, then I had a couple of one-on-ones to support as well. I was on such a high afterwards! I headed home, quickly got changed and then headed back out to my cousins.
She made us a little snack for lunch, whilst my nephew played and enjoyed life as always, then we headed to a Nottingham based role play centre which was great. There was a seating area for the adults which most of the parents, guardians stayed sat at. We ordered drinks and my cousin got some cake.
I do think it was probably a little older based play that my nephew. It was fine and he still enjoyed it, but he did like for either me or my cousin to be playing alongside him, rather than playing independently with the other kids. It was fine and so much fun, but I can't wait to watch him develop. It was cute! They had a jail, a post office, a supermarket, a hairdressers, a beauticians, a hospital and a building zone.
At the weekend, amazingly, I had a weekend day off and so I headed to York to meet up with a couple of high school friends. It was a lovely day, albeit it had a very long drive and I was shattered. We didn't actually do much. It was more of a chill, hang out and walk around but the weather was lovely, being sunny and mild.

We did stop for food and had a yummy meal at Pizza Express, with pizza and brownies or chocolate fudge cake. As it was "rush hour" when we arrived, we ended up going to a little bar spot first and it was a lovely find, with heating and it being off the main area.

I ended up having to stop on the way back because I was absolutely shattered and didn't feel safe driving anymore. I set a timer for 15 minutes but snoozed it at least once, so got a little longer of a sleep than anticipated, before getting home and getting ready for bed again.

Ps. I am so so frustrated at how many clips I've recorded in the car and the audio has disappeared. It is very annoying and I need to work out how to stop it from doing that because it's one of my favourite places to vlog.
