1 Month Trip Travel Essentials (USA and Canada 2024)

I don't normally buy additional things for my holidays in terms of travel essentials, but with it being a one month multi-city trip, I felt I needed to be extra organised and have a few extra bits for organisation, security and comfort.
Starting with organisation, this time I've decided to print all my bookings and insurance documents so that I have a paper hard copy. I've bought a folder to safely store everything and organise each city. I also bought some packing cubes in the hopes of being able to fit everything in the suitcase!

With some many flights and different trips to different places, plus with my dad recently loosing his luggage on two different occasions, I thought I would invest in some AirTags. I had planned to eventually get these for kids but it would be perfect for luggage and expensive belongings especially. For added security, I've got a couple of padlocks and a portable door lock for the hotel rooms.

I've also bought a few extra electronics with a new iPhone charger and a couple of adapters. I especially treated myself to a new camera because it's a special trip and of course, I want to be able to have some nice keepsakes afterwards. Similarly, my Kindle stopped working. I usually much prefer paper books but with luggage allowance limitations, I knew that wasn't going to be possible. I bought the cheapest Kindle and case I could find but hopefully it will be a good option going forward. Finally, with my recent ear infections I wanted some none in-ear headphones and so I bought some nice but affordable bluetooth headphones for flights.

For comfort, I really wanted to get a travel pillow, thin blanket and a comfy oversized hoodie. I also thought the latter would be good for cooler nights. I'm taking my waterproof with me, but not taking a thick coat this time, just for lack of storage. I've looked at the weather and everywhere seems pretty warm so I'm hoping that's a safe option. On a similar note, with my health history, I also wanted to ensure I had some compression stockings and a first aid kit
