F1: ROSBERG ISN'T AS GOOD AS HAMILTON!? 🏁

Image
Do I like Hamilton? No. Do I like Rosberg? Yes. Am I biased? No. After the past few races of the 2016 Formula One World Championships, I can't help but get infuriated by the publics comments. Yes, Hamilton has had his fair share of problems this year in terms of technical equipment but so did Rosberg last year. It just so happens that the luck has switched places this year. Did people blame Mercedes for favoriting Hamilton last year? No they didn't. So why do they blame Mercedes for favoriting Rosberg this year? It is totally wrong of people and whether you are fans of the individuals involved or not, this season has been based a big part on driving talent. When Hamilton has had the opportunities to win a race he has ultimately produced driver error after driver error. This weekend in Japan showcased that perfectly. After failing to have a good start, he dropped down to P8 and graciously fought his way back up to P3. Despite my dislike of the guy, Hamilton is indeed...

Jake Quickenden: A New Chapter Tour / SECRET SHOW STORIES 🎤

Image
I've been loving Jake Quickenden 's music recently and was so excited to see him in London on Saturday 8th October. As I walked in, it appeared that the VIP meet and greet was still running so clearly it had gone over because I didn't arrive until about 7:15pm. It was really neat to see Jake interacting with his fans and he honestly seemed so down-to-earth. He hugged everyone, took pictures and signed things. Just because he was running late, it didn't stop him from taking his time with each and every person. I for one, truly appreciate it when people that I like and enjoy the work off, end up living up to my expectations. It's so heartwarming to see that in this day-and-age.   After that finished, Jake sang a couple of songs with his guitar. I was actually sat behind Bailey's (one of the support acts) family and as hilarious as they were, I'm not sure I'd be too happy if I were Bailey. Some of the stories were a little embarrassing! Anyway, J...

Covent Garden Paperchase Haul! 📝

Image
Then, when I arrived in London, I went shopping in Covent Garden and fell in love with Paperchase ! They're all for other people but luckily none of them read this blog so I can show you! While there I signed up for their 'Treat Me' loyalty card. Since the shop, I've already had my first 2 treats in a 15% discount and £5 to spend so you already know I've used them both for my cards and wrapping paper! These are the items in the 'official pictures'. My sister is soon going to be turning 30(!) and recently she's been travelling a lot so I thought this would be the perfect present. It's a photo album in a scrapbook style so she can arrange the pictures how she wants and add little momentums as she goes. I think it will be gorgeous to look back on. I always run out of thank you cards when I need them so I thought these were perfect for all occasions. Especially with Christmas coming up so soon! My little princess is soon going to be turning 4 ...

Too Old to Exercise?!

Image
As a medical student, and hopefully future healthcare worker, I think it's really important to do the best of your ability to stay healthy. The medical role relies on people wanting to be fit and strong and wanting to get better. A big part of being able to achieve that is down to exercise and eating habits. With that come so many benefits at all ages but especially at older ages, where people suffer with more problems, those who lead a more active life, not only have much better recovery times but also suffer less in return. My guest poster has a clear view on the subject and here she writes from the heart on a topic she is currently experiencing. Mary has always had an interest in holistic health through fitness, nutrition, and wellness. She first started her blog, Fit Over 50, to let others know that being in the middle age of life does not mean the end of an active one. Do you ever get the feeling  that we have been forgotten about as far as fitness, nutritional health, s...

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the Musical (Review) 🍫

Image
Click here for the trailer. The most outstanding performance is by far all the children. A lot of them a very young and considering that, especially Charlie, they were incredible. In fact everyone's acting was great and so believable. Everyone has clearly put a lot of work and effort into it. One of my favourite parts were how they did the introduction of the other winners. It was very cleverly placed TV boxes although the Bucket family did miss a few of the signals to start biking. Although sometimes the individual songs did go on a little too long, I did like the storytelling and especially the TV presenter (ginger wig). I was defintely intrigued to see how they were going to translate the Oompa Loompas and effects like that which the kids go through and I was pleasantly surprised. My favourite had to be when Violet became a blueberry because she blew up and purple confetti fell into the crowd. But I was disappointed. My favourite song, the Oompa Loompa one, didn...

Life Update, Schedule and Summer Summary ☀️

Image
My long summer has finally come to an end. I have moved into my new flat, started settling back into London life and with that I have now started university again. At UCL Year 2 for Medicine is the hardest so it is with a heavy heart I write that I am no longer committing myself to 4 posts a week. For the next few weeks I still have posts written and scheduled, ready to post as usual but after that it will depend on how hard I find the work and how much free time I have to myself. I've always enjoyed blogging and find it very therapeutic to write about topics that I find interesting and love. Some of my favourite posts are those from my Thursday Thoughts series that was a new addition to the blog over the summer. With them they have brought me the opportunity to work with some other great bloggers in collaborations and have guest posters. Miah was lovely to work with and Paul was very dedicated and motivated; I learnt a lot from both of them and loved the experience. Of course...
