The film picks up exactly where the previous one ends and it’s definitely a poetic scene with the last. It's sad to see Tony Stark so dishevelled and seeing him recording final messages to Pepper and giving up is heartbreaking. He's giving up on life, and for a moment, I really thought it would be the end of him.  Avengers Endgame is - supposedly - the final film in the Avengers franchise and of course, I was looking forward to it. Sometimes I think my high expectations ruin films, as too often I find myself coming out of an eagerly anticipated film disappointed and while I originally enjoyed the film, upon discussion with friends, I’ve realised there were too many parts I didn’t enjoy and it’s somewhat ruined the film for me. Tomorrow is the day to vote for local elections in the UK. As always, I encourage all those eligible to vote and those registered to head out to your local polling station and vote. It's your future and your voice. Make sure it's heard.

Today, I am sharing an absolutely incredible campaign and one that I feel very strongly that I need to share with  Getaway Girls . Based in Leeds, Getaway Girls empowers girls and young women aged 11 – 25 to build up confidence, develop new skills and take positive risks in an environment which offers cooperation and support. The charity achieves this through individual support, group work, outreach, detached, residential opportunities, creative arts, sports development, adventure education, training, peer support and opportunities for voice and influence. Getaway Girls supports very diverse groups of young women in terms of cultural backgrounds and needs. The charity targets young women who experience barriers or discrimination including: domestic violence, young mums and asylum seekers. It's been a while since a posted a consistent schedule over here! I've been posting the odd post here and there but it's been nearly 2 months since I've been back over here to write a non-daily life blog post. It feel so strange to be sat at my computer with a few moments to share some thoughts and honestly, it's so nice to be back. This is the longest break I've taken in 5 years and as much as I love blogging and sharing my voice, my life has been so busy and hectic, I'm glad I gave myself a little chance to catch up and enjoy living in the moment for a few weeks. I'm still busy in placement but I can't stay away any longer! I've had so many incredible opportunities since I've been away and I've said no to most of them but the latest, I just couldn't so stay tuned for Friday! That's all for now, but starting this week, I'm back!

I celebrated Vicki's 20th birthday, a cold archery session turned into shooting in the hail and I went on a gorgeous lake walk with a friend.  Click here for the vlog or watch below.  For Vicki's birthday this year she headed to a club night but also wanted a cute a civilised meal with all her girlies. She ended up picking an independent french restaurant which served a lot of vegan options for Bea, Sam and Clare. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the food and while I had to slightly alter the menu to suit my needs, I was still good. There was a slight hiccup when the vegan dish wasn't served vegan but living up to her usual loudness, Vicki got a replacement pretty quickly, plus the food taken off the bill. After a quick shopping trip, we headed to a super cute little shop for desserts but they also served pancakes and brunch too. The lighting was gorgeous so of course we had to do a photoshoot.  But look at how amazing the desserts look......

Shazam! What's it about? Click here to watch the trailer or see below. Shazam! was a film I liked the look of but had no particular intention of heading to see at the cinema. Thankfully, my date wanted to see it and of course I happily obliged and took his offer. I ended up really enjoying the film. It was a little slow to begin with and to be honest I was confused as to where the film was going. I tried to figure it out but after a while, I instead, just took it at face value.  The film showcases and develops an interesting storyline. It’s a lovely ideal of finding the perfect character for a role but unfortunately, one that is often impossible given today’s society. In the end, it turns out to be the perfect choice but not for the reasons you would think. It’s the final scenes that capture my heart. Seeing the foster siblings all come together and work for the greater good is just remarkable but of course, it’s how the casting department captured the unique characterist...

The latest instalment in the Marvel franchise is Captain Marvel and boy is it a good one! Click here to watch the trailer or see below.  Captain Marvel is without a doubt one of my favourite new films I’ve seen in a while. I love Marvel films and this one reminds me of Wonder Woman in more than the obvious way. I love how we have another female superhero and this time, one with a backbone storyline.   I love how the film explores the lost past of Captain Marvel and the relationship with her old best friend and her daughter is just perfect. It’s a magical reunion and the childhood innocence makes it all the more special. The film is fast paced, entertaining and non-stop action. The director did a great job the entire way through the artistic filming shots matched exactly how I felt. 10/10. Would definitely recommend.
