I feel like we're finally getting back to normal and after the second step when according to plan, I feel like things are on the right track. Since then, I've enjoyed being able to meet up with friends again. I've had a hair cut , had friends over for a barbeque in the garden and even had lunch in some pub gardens. It's honestly been lovely and I'm so glad hat we're taking baby steps to get back to normality.  Of course, for me I feel relatively safe now. I'm now 2 months post my second covid-19 vaccine  so I  have full coverage of the vaccine. Most of my family also has full coverage with my grandma, parents, step-parents and closest aunt/uncle/cousins fully covered too. Of course, my sisters and their partners will be a little longer as they aren't healthcare professionals, nor high risk, likewise Luke my partner. Alongside some of the In the Style pieces I bought from Stacey Solomon 's collection, I also bought a few pieces from Jac Jossa's collection. This one was actually released a little while ago and Jac has done a number of collections with them recently, so I decided to try a few pieces at the same time. Sadly, quite a few of the items I loved were either out of stock or not available in my size, but nevertheless, I was excited to get some fun bits!   The first was my favourite! This is the floral printed smock top and gorgeous. I was first a little nervous about it being too short, because I'm used to longer tops but I really liked the new-to-me style!  Another top , in a slightly different style, and also in a smaller size as the 12 was out of stock. I actually really liked the top and thought it fit well but I found the tie shoulders very faffy and the slippy material made them keep falling out. Plus, there was a lot of material so they were rather floppy and annoying....

Some busy shifts mixed with celebrating some midwifery milestones and catching up with friends/family.  Click here to watch the vlog or see below.  I've been on 94% compliance with my e-learning and online training for a long time and so when I saw my Tissue Viability module reset after 3 months, I finally managed to successfully access it and pass all three first time, so I finally have 100% completed, which genuinely feels amazing. It defintely caused a little bit of stress at the beginning, but with the systems being down, I'm glad I'm finally up-to-date! This year, International Day of the Midwife was a little different of a celebration because I was at work. It was quite nice to be at work for the first since qualifying though, and I had a lovely day spent doing three elective caesarean sections, one which was a beautiful twin family. I can't tell you how long I've waited to write this post. I've wanted a Stackers jewellery box, since I was 16 years old and over 8 years later, I've finally got my dream jewellery box, thanks to my lovely boyfriend who got me it for our anniversary !  The idea of Stackers was born 10 years ago out of a love of organisation, and the idea that everything has its own place. The company created beautiful and flexible jewellery storage, which has now grown to include travel, home, cosmetics and most recently, bags. I was really impressed with how the jewellery box came package. The entire collection came in a box, which then had the layers individually wrapped in foam, followed my embossed tissue paper. Words can't even explain how excited I was to get my hands on this collection. In the Style was a brand that I've only recently heard of, so when I heard that Stacey Solomon was doing an entire collection I knew I had to get my hands on it...I wanted it all.  I had my alarm set, downloaded the app and was ready to go at opening. Sadly, my top three items sold out so quickly and I had some issues with the app. I think because of how busy it was, the company did apologise but nevertheless. I got everything in my basket, went to pay and couldn’t pay by my Apple Pay or Card. I tried both twice; Apple Pay failed completely and the card seemed to be successful but then just loaded for ages, before I had to close the app and restart it. Then, I went through PayPal which took forever, only to be told three things I had in my basket were out of stock.
