RCN Congress Day 2 was filled with a packed student programme and even more student fun!

It was another gorgeous day as we woke up and walked over to the congress hall. I had the most amazing time. Not only hearing about all the different speeches, presentations and debates, but also truly spending time with Bea and bonding together.
For lunch, we headed back to the hotel as we needed to change and put on our new t-shirts. On the way back, Bea bought some food from a local food truck. It was actually super cute and the food looked amazing so I was pretty jealous when I saw it.
This year was the biggest amount of student nurses and midwives that have ever attended Congress and so to celebrate, the student ambassadors organised for all the students to stand up and sing "Roar" by Katy Perry and we ended up having a flash mob as we all went up on stage to join in. It was incredible and the President of the RCN loved having us all there and said so many great things.
For tea, we went to Pizza Express which was just outside the conference centre. My best friend from high school came to join us and it was lovely to catch up and introduce her to Bea as well. It was only brief and luckily she lived fairly close by so it wasn't far out of her way.
In the evening, it was the student celebratory night. This was held at Bierkeller which isn't exactly my sort of place so I enjoyed the music and chatting to people, but then once again, I headed back to the hotel, leaving Bea to continue to enjoy her night.
