Donating my Hair to The Little Princess Trust

For the third time, I am donating my hair to The Little Princess Trust after another major haircut. My goal has been to donate every 3 years, but this time has gone a little longer as instead of 10" they asked for at least 12" and I ended up donating 13".
The Little Princess Trust provides free real hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions. They have now provided more than 17,000 wigs to children and young people with hair loss and are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year! They also fund childhood cancer research searching to find kinder and more effective treatments. They used to provide free postage for hair, but now they do charge and also ask for a financial donation to help support the making of wigs too.
They can accept hair of any natural colour as long as it is in a good condition. It can be permanently dyed, but must be of a nature shade. Before cutting, make sure it is washed and dried thoroughly, with no styling products left in. When cutting, secure hair into ponytails with hair bands and regular intervals, then place inside a recyclable cardboard packaging to be posted to: The Little Princess Trust, The Hannah Tarplee Building, 22-25 Berrington Street, Hereford. HR4 0BJ. UK.
I have very thick hair so I always can send quite a lot of hair. I packaged it up ready to be posted and included the completed donation form. I love cutting my hair every so often and changing the style, but being able to donate it always makes me feel so honoured and lucky too. It's lovely to know it's going somewhere in need and will be used for good, rather than just thrown away. I love that I get a certificate to keep and share too.
