New Year Resolutions 2016!

Last year I wrote down my resolutions for the first time. I've always wanted to and while I've always thought of them, I'd never written them down before. I feel like writing them down will make me at least somewhat more accountable for them. If you didn't read last year's click here.

So on to this year's goals!

  1. Pass my driving test. Seriously this is so long overdue that I'm almost sick of it! I hope to pass with my test but if not, I WILL retake the theory and practical in the summer and PASS!
  2. Work out at least 4 times a week. I started working out 4-5 times a week last uni year at university and was feeling really happy and good within myself. When the exams started in May and then all the drama went down, I just didn't feel like working out as I felt it was almost a waste of energy. Then I moved back home so I didn't have a gym that was within easy reach. I began again for the first couple of months in my new accommodation but I've found it rather hard to settle into university this year and I'm just been slacking a lot! Hopefully when I go back to uni in another 2 weeks I will feel motivated and ready for 2016!
  3. Eat less. I can't diet and I won't diet because I like chocolate for dessert too much! But since I now have my food storage in my room it's so hard to stop myself from snacking and nibbling in bed at night.
  4. Think positively. I feel I'm usually optimistic about other people and I'm great at giving advice but when I'm all alone, by myself, I'm usually pretty sombre. I always think what if this happens? Or this? I want to be better at shrugging things off and not worrying.
  5. Stress less. Similarly to above I want to work again on my attitude. Life is too short to stress over every thing that happens and every little comment that someone says. It’s important to get perspective sometimes.
  6. Travel somewhere new. My second oldest sister has been travelling around the world for the past few months - a total of 6 when she returns - and today she went to the Home and Away beach in Australia! I am so jealous! I love seeing the world and this year I got to tick off Egypt from my bucket list! Number one is Hawaii but I don't think that will be any time soon :(
