Ellie Goulding Concert! (YouTube) / SECRET SHOW STORIES
On Thursday 24th March, I went to the London O2 Arena to see Ellie Goulding in concert. I saw her back in December at the Jingle Bell Ball and was really impressed with her performance so I was super excited! Click through to see my videos of the concert or head over to my YouTube channel at 'hansla1000'.
The first opening act was Lany. I'd never heard of the band before but they were seriously amazing; I have been listening to them on repeat since the show. The only downside is that they don't have a lot of stage presence mainly because the lead singer has his long hair in front of his face the majority of the time. But maybe that's the mystery... Next up was John Newman. I know a lot of people who are fans of his but I'd never heard of him. Clearly, it was just his name I hadn't heard of because after listening, I realised I knew almost all his songs! His dance moves are very repetitive and he sweats (a lot!) but he has almost as much energy as Ellie which is admirable passion. Click here to watch the clips on YouTube.
And finally, the woman herself. Ellie Goulding lit up the stage everytime she walked on. She is seriously gorgeous and has such a sweet personality. I was surprised at how shy she was because of how much energy she has during her performances. But she barely spoke in between songs. The focus is defintely on her music which honestly, I don't mind because that's why we love her. In the odd moments that she did speak, I really loved the glimpses into her life, especially the song about her friend who is always there for her. The screens ended up showing images scrapbook-like of their friendship.
Of course, I took some pictures too and I loved how they turned out so I decided to share some of them in a video too!
I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into an Ellie Goulding concert as her UK Tour comes to an end. Of course, the clips don't even slightly capture how good she is and the crazy atmosphere at the O2!
