Migraines, Early Spring Clean and Back to Uni!

Mary Poppins Returns started the year off right but then I got a migraine so was stuck in bed for a few days, spring cleaning my room, before heading back to university.

Honestly, this week I didn't do all that much but that's okay! Sometimes you need a little bit off respite and I always think it's important to rest, especially when you're not feeling very well. Some people - like my grandma - get up straight away and it's not always the best thing to do because it puts you straight back into bed the next day because you've over done it.

The year started off well thought, like I said. I headed out to see Mary Poppins Returns. Originally, I was going with a friend, then with my mum but with plans getting changed and cancelled, I really didn't want to miss the opportunity so I decided to head on my own. I ended up going to the local Showcase de Lux which was cheaper than the regular Cineworld cinema...crazy! Yes please! Personally, I didn't love the film but you can read my full review here
I then ended up having 3 lounge wear days in a row. I'd planned to have 2 because I genuinely hadn't had a day off in 5 weeks and I was absolutely desperate. It was a much needed break but I ended up getting a migraine. Possibly the best time to have one but not the greatest when I wanted to relax, read and catch up on TV. I ended my time in bed with a lovely Lush bomb, bubble bath!
Despite, not feeling great, I still kept myself busy. I decided to go through all my wardrobes, drawers and cupboards. I wish I'd taken some before and after shots but I didn't so despite it not looking the best, honestly, I'm so pleased with it. It's organised, beautiful and perfect...perhaps a bit excessive.

To finish my Christmas holidays, we had a girls day out to Leeds and went for a late lunch, early tea at The Ivy. The franchise has relatively recently expanded out of London and there's been 2 open up in Leeds in just the last few months. It beautifully decorated, and has the same great atmosphere and yummy food.

Funnily, mum couldn't get over the bathroom. It was nice but very dark!
I then packed the car and drove back to Nottingham, ready to start second year of Midwifery. Of course, I ended up massively over packing but it was worth it and I'm so glad I did. While I was putting everything away, I  decided to go through all my drawers and cupboard, wardrobe and storage boxes at university as well. It fells so clean and tidy I love it.
