My Puppy had to have a Tailectomy!

After recording and editing so much over the Christmas holiday, I decided to take a few weeks off vlogging in order to take some time for a little rest and relaxation. The start of year 2 at university has been pretty smooth sailing. The contact hours aren't too demanding and 'm enjoying the content, although it's a little repetitive because I've done the majority of it before.

Unfortunately, I did get some bad news. As I said in a previous post, my poor dog Holly has been needing to have a cyst in her tail drained fairly regularly over the past year and in the last month it's been needing to be drained much more frequently, a few times a week. Of course, this added intervention has increased the risk of infection and much to everyone's care, the cyst burst and got infected. The vet did everything they could to save the tail but in the end, she ended up having to get the tail removed.

I decided to head home for the weekend to see how she was and surprise the family. It was lovely to see her and spend some quality time with her. She's still her happy self, just slightly stumpier.
I ended up driving back to Nottingham in the middle of the night after a massive and traumatic abuse from my mother's husband, but that's a story for another day. For now, I'm happy knowing that she's recovering well and so far, the anaesthetic doesn't seem to have had any negative consequences.
