How to: Knit a Baby Hat!
I cannot believe I have finally finished my baby hat! When I first joined the Nursing and Midwifery Association committee in 2018, I was told there had been a pot of money ringfenced for knitting and that was all we were allowed to spend it on. After over a year and a half of trying to organise the project, our Knit and Knatter groups finally began and I was so excited to get involved. Well just 3 months after it first started, attending just 3 group sessions, I finished my baby hat and it was so simple!

1. Pick your wool.
2. Cast on.
3. 6 rows of 2 by 2 rib stitch.
4. 18 rows of stocking stitch (one knit, one purl).
5. Reduction stitch for 4 rows of stocking stitch.
6. Tie the length of the wool through the loops and remove from needle (I used YouTube for this).
7. Mattress stitch or hem stitch the length.
8. Finished!What do you think?
