Global Undergraduate Awards: Highly Commended!

I am so excited to share that I won another award for my undergraduate studies. I submitted my research proposal on ‘Giving Birth after a Caesarean Section’ almost a year ago now to the Global Undergraduate Awards. The Global Undergraduate Awards is the world’s leading undergraduate awards programme which recognises top undergraduate work, shares this work with a global audience and connects students across cultures and disciplines. Their values are innovation, collaboration, ambition, impartiality, inclusiveness and efficiency.

I was so excited when I heard that I had won the Highly Commended Award in the Nursing, Midwifery & Allied Care category. This means that the entry was evaluated and scored by judges, each one an expert in their category, and emerged as the top 10% of entries submitted to that category. This year. there was a record 2,489 submissions, so they stated it was a very difficult year for all students

You can view the full list of Highly Commended Entrants here. As a Highly Commended Winner, I am also invited to attend this year’s UA Global Summit, which will be held from 15–17 November 2021. The Global Summit includes addresses from and panels of world-renowned speakers, academics, and potential employers. It would be a real honour to attend just to speak to and hear from some of these individuals but unfortunately I do have clinics on Tuesday's and Wednesday's, so I am not yet too sure if I would be able to have these off. At the moment, it is still unclear whether events in Ireland will be going ahead live anyway, so I am still waiting to here if it will be online or not.
