Heatwave, Placement and Downtime!

I haven't done all that much since my birthday as I've been taking it easy, busy with shifts and working on my business and websites.

Click here to watch the vlog or see below. It's a little bit shorter than normal but as last week's was double in length, hopefully it will make it for it!

Honestly, the week started very disappointingly. I woke up extra early to ensure I was awake for the delivery of my DPD parcel. After it already being delayed by 3 days, I was pretty desperate for the delivery as I had customers waiting for orders. I messaged via the app, on Twitter, rang and emailed. No one was very much help and it was only - probably for the third time - when I called did they arrange for it to come back to be delivered. Even then it was 10 minutes later than the maximum time they said it would be so you bet, I've put in a massive complaint.
To cheer myself up, I headed into town. I had to post some packages anyway so I decided to stay for a little longer and treat myself to a pizza. I got a free voucher for my birthday so for the drink and pizza it was less than £4.00 which was perfect. I was almost tempted to go to the cinema afterwards, as it was opposite, but unfortunately timings didn't work out and thank god it didn't because when I got home, I got a text about tutoring! With all the stress of the day, I had completely forgotten about my scheduled lesson...oops!
I've been tutoring a lot recently. I think as a lot of people have no finished their exams, it's kind of the next big exam to sit. Which is great for me because I'm earning money but it is a little chaotic because I've got to fit it into my hectic schedule of night shifts plus my plans travelling and what not. It's all very time consuming so I haven't been getting out of the house much.

I did manage to get a late night phone call in with Hannah. I haven't seen her since the end of February and it felt like forever since we'd spoken. We text each other fairly regularly but it's not the same as it used to be unfortunately.
I'm defintely getting used to the working lifestyle. Although, it is tiring doing 3 night shifts in a row, in a way it's quite nice to get them out of the way. I've been trying to mix up my lip colour while also staying fairly muted in tone.
I love what I do and it's such a privilege to help deliver someone's baby but it can also be really hard. One shift, I mentioned having not yet seen a cesarean section and what do you know, by the end of my shift I'd seen one. I ended up being somewhat told off and with everything going off, never got the chance to eat so I was very thankful for my lollipop from a flatmate, on the walk home.
A few more night shifts later and I delivered my 10th baby! Ah it's been a crazy placement.

It's all been a little boring but stay tuned for next week's vlog! This next weekend is going to be crazy busy with a visit to my dad's, my nephew's first birthday and a trip to London for Wimbledon!
