Moving Day, Goodbye Rental and Unpacking Time!

I packed up the moving van, said goodbye to the rental and officially moved into my first house as a home owner!

Moving day started bright and early. We woke up at 8am, for the van to arrive at 9am. When I woke up, I started tracking my integrated fridge freezer and although I'd asked for an afternoon delivery, it said it was 30 minutes away. Mum was already up and dressed, so I got her to head to the house to let the fridge freezer in, and then I got ready and started loading the valuables into my car.

The moving van didn't arrive at 9am, so at half 9, I called them to make sure they were still coming and they said they would be there within the hour. I shared a detailed post about the moving van process last week, so be sure to read that if you want more details! When it finally arrived, we loaded up, headed to the new house and unloaded in each room. Then I unloaded my car with the valuables, before heading back to the rental.

Mum had loaded the last little bits, especially the food into bags and her car, and surprisingly the estate agent was already there and very early. It was a bit of a shame because I wanted to say goodbye to my first home of my own, even if it was a rental. I very very quickly went round each room to check nothing was left, and then said my goodbyes and headed away for the last time.

In all honesty, I was so busy unpacking and moving in, my mum left shortly after we got to the house and then I didn't stop too much for the next 36 hours, before heading back to work after 2 weeks off. My sister and mum ended up coming back down on Wednesday and I didn't vlog, but we headed out for a celebratory meal to Bills to celebrate both graduation and moving house!
