As I shared on a couple of weeks ago, I was involved in an international project. The second and third days were a huge success and so enjoyable. I'm going to talk a little more about my experience tomorrow so stay tuned and read here!
With so many things happening this year, I think everyone's getting excited for Christmas and the festivities have well and truly arrived. I couldn't wait to decorate and so straight after Luke's birthday I stared getting ready! I didn't go too overboard, but I did buy some new little bits and I think the colour schemes work well, with them being quite tasteful. I shared a haul and my final decorations this week, but be ready for more Christmas posts throughout December!
Luke came over for a few meals this week and it was actually really nice to spend some time together. I ended up going to Sainsbury's so got lots of nice food and treats in stock. We enjoyed a yummy pasta bake on Wednesday night, after decorating the tree, posh fish and chips on Friday and a Sunday roast the next day.
On Saturday, it ended up bring quite busy. We went to Wollaton Hall and Deer Park for a cold, spooky and foggy walk around. I really wanted to see the deer as whenever I've been they've not been there and I'm so sad! But this trip was magical. We saw two together and then one appeared and walked right out in front of us. Just as we were leaving, we saw the rest of the heard with about 40 of them. It was crazy!
Finally, after the sun went down really early, we went to Argos to pick up my desk and then came back to build it. Whilst I cooked Sunday lunch (yes, on a Saturday), Luke built it and then we cuddled on the sofa watching Star Trek.
My week ended perfectly with a surprise early shift, cutting my working day in half! It was a very slow and easy day at the hospital, and honestly it made such a difference to my mood and happiness. I ended up coming back, chilling on the sofa, edited a vlog and wrote some blog posts ready for the week ahead!
