International Day of the Midwife 2023

Last week was International Day of the Midwife. In previous years, I've celebrated with events, conferences and even presentations. This year, was a little different. I started the day by working and ended it by working as I was on night shifts both nights. 

My manager was so sweet and wrote everyone a special card to thank them for their hard work. She also put together some little gifts in the form of an angel keyrings and some sample size face and hand creams. From the trust we got some cupcakes, which were actually delicious! 

The next day we had an afternoon tea provided by the trust to celebrate the King's Coronation. I unfortunately didn't get the chance to watch any of the ceremonies or celebrations live, but I have now seen some pictures on TikTok and Instagram and it looks like it was an incredible weekend of events!
