Christmas Gift Guide for All (2024)
As is annual tradition, I am sharing the gifts I've bought my family and close friends this year. I ended up pretty much finishing my Christmas shopping and wrapping everything in November this year, and it felt lovely being able to have them under the tree to enjoy for longer. I am also so pleased with the presents this year and really hope everyone enjoys them!
My mum has previously got a "Dear Mum" book to fill in and she claims she never got it but I have the receipt and I know I gave her it for her Mother's Day present. Nevertheless, I bought her the book again to fill in, alongside some gardening gloves for grandma's planters and a bookmark so she doesn't damage her books. I also bought the latter for some friends this year also.
I had bought my grandma the "Dear Grandma" book about 10 years ago as well but despite constant reminders, she never filled it in which makes me very sad. I've ended up buying my great aunt one that says "friend" because I couldn't find an "aunt" one and I know she'll have similar childhood stories to my grandma to hopefully preserve some of those memories.
For my dad, I bought him a a robin and spade rusted copper garden decoration. He's always the most difficult to buy for but he loves having secret garden decorations dotted around his different areas, so I thought this would be perfect for his open house. For his girlfriend, I got her a wellie planter as she loves potted plants, rather than gardening, and then I got her some flower vases for her bedroom to match the colour scheme there.
Onto my sisters! My oldest sister has recently redecorated her kitchen with some pink accents, so I bought her some pink wine glasses. Similarly, my middle sister has just renovated her entire house, so I bought her a serving platter ready for all her new parties. Then for my youngest sister, I bought her a floral birthflower pendant necklace which hopefully she will like!
For my cousins, I bought them earrings each. Emma loves her dog so she got some paw print studs and Ellie loves giraffes so I bought her those in studs too. The last of the adult gifts was for a close friend. I bought him a ring which is engraved so he'll always have the people most important to him close by.
For the nieces and nephews... My oldest niece got an artists colouring set and some fluffy socks. My oldest nephew got a new football kit that he picked out. My youngest niece and nephew's hadn't arrived when I first wrapped but they both got two Tonies each, with Encanto and Tinkerbell, then Chase and Rumble from Paw Patrol. I then added an Encanto costume and a Paw Patrol colouring kit and matching game to pair with them.
