Flamingo Presentation, Vegas Flyover and Last City! / USA and Canada 2024
My last day in Las Vegas was a little more relaxed, taking in the boutique hotels on the strip and then making my way to Los Angeles!

My last day in Las Vegas started a little less rushed than the previous few days. I started packing my suitcase when I woke up and then stopped briefly to go down to the hotel's nature reserve to watch the nature presentation. They do it every morning for half an hour whilst they feed the fish, pelicans and flamingo's. It was actually really peaceful, interesting and fun to watch, especially the pelican feeding.
I then headed back up to the room, finished packing and getting ready, then dropped my luggage off at storage. I find it so frustrating that no one comes to collect it and you have to pay for it to be stored in the hotel you've stayed at, but apparently that has become the normal for city hotels. I then headed back out on the bus. It was nice to go on the bus route, having done it twice already.Today, I wanted to explore each of the unique hotels. I started with the Excalibur, the British castle inspired one. I was sad to hear they'd planned to do a London city but then plans got cancelled. The castle hotel looked so fun on both the inside and the outside. If I came back, I would love to go to the evening duel entertainment.
Next up was Luxor, the Egyptian pyramid inspired. I loved all the details of this one, even from the stone walls and Egyptian handles.
Finally, Mandalay Bay was supposedly the most beautiful hotel and inspired by Hawaii. I was really disappointed when I visited. The outside had no water running and it was all turned off, looking like it had been for quite a while. Inside, there was supposed to be an aquarium behind reception, but again, I couldn't see that either, just a very expensive, paid for experience.
Back onto the bus, I travelled back towards the main strip and got off at New York. It was funny seeing it in this compact version, having recently been to the actual New York. I actually think if I hadn't, it would have been quite impressive, especially the mini Statue of Liberty.
I then explored a number of the other hotels and casinos, went to Starbucks for a quick snack and some water as I was super thirsty, some of the big shops like Coca Cola and MnM World, before finally getting to go on the Ultimate Flying Ride...The Vegas Flyover. Honestly, once again I was quite disappointed. The first one I went on and the one in New York were incredible. The other's have all been a bit of a let down. It wasn't that the ride itself was bad, because the technology side was okay but it was supposed to be about Vegas and it was more so about the Wild West and very little about Vegas at all.
After that finished, I didn't think I'd actually have time to watch the Bellagio Fountain show again in the daylight but it was just about to start as I walked past so I stayed and watched it, before heading back to the hotel to collect my luggage and get a taxi to the airport for my last internal US flight.
It was literally the quickest, shorter in air flight ever. We spent well over an hour on the tarmac waiting to take off which was really quite annoying, but once we were in the air, we were up and down in 38 minutes. It was so quick!
I looked shattered by the time I arrived and I was defintely ready for bed, ready to start my adventure in the last city of the trip.
