A day spent on the Big Bus Tour, being a tourist around Las Vegas!

Today was all about being a tourist and taking in all the sights and what Las Vegas has to offer. It was another beautiful day and I started by eating the snacks I'd bought the night before. I sadly missed the first Big Bus by seconds and I was so annoyed because the lady saw me running for it, and let it go a few minutes early anyway. It was incredibly hot, so instead of standing in the blazing heat, we did take shelter under the electric charging points area for a while. Then I got on the bus 30 minutes later and started to just take it all in. Vegas honestly has a little bit of everything and it's mesmerizing with both the history, culture, architect and fun.

The first stop I got off at was for the Las Vegas sign. I was shocked at how big the queue was for taking pictures in front of the sign and there was security standing around as well. I decided to just walk around the side and take some selfies with the sign in that way. There wasn't too many people in the background so to me that was perfect, but someone did offer to take a full length picture which I was very thankful for after the fact.
Back on the bus, I headed back to the centre of Las Vegas and drove along the main strip, before getting off at the bus stop I originally got on at.
I wasn't planning to get off so quickly, but it was actually so hot and I was desperate for a drink, so I decided to get off and get both a drink and lunch at the same time. So I didn't need to eat later, I went for a bottomless drink, main and dessert at the same time. The drinks hit the spot, the main was delicious but the dessert was terrible.
I'm going to share the Vegas attraction reviews that I did in a separate post, but I then went on to do the High Roller to see the sky eye's view.
I then got back on the bus. I'd already done a full circuit so this time I planned to get off at the Strat Tower. I booked to go there around dawn, but before then I had a free 30 minutes to play at Top Golf.
I then walked to The Strat Tower and headed up to the observation decks. It was all a little confusing in terms of the set up but the view was beautiful. Unfortunately, it was a little far away from the strip, but it was a great view of the scenery and nature.
I then had a very peaceful walk all the way back through from the tower, up the strip and to visit the Dome. I've seen the Dome continuously both from my hotel, from the High Roller and from the Strat Tower but I thought it would be even more impressive to see it up close. Whilst it was cool, unfortunately the only place to sit, was really very close because the Las Vegas US Grand Prix was already being set up and taking over the city.
Finally, it was time to visit the Bellagio Fountains which I had heard all about. Again, with all the Grand Prix stuff, it really did ruin the view of the fountain show as the entire central area was taken over by box seating. I was originally squished in on the right with an okay view but an annoying street act continued to play their music over the show.
I then wanted to move to the other side, so I tried to walk along the pavement but it was closed, then I walked to cross the road but it was closed, then I had to walk through the hotel instead. It was a little annoying, but once I got to the other side, through a whole shopping centre and casino, the reception was beautiful. They had an autumnal display being showcased, as well as their incredible glass floral arrangement.
Once back outside, I looked out upon Little Paris and it was lovely to see it lit up before the show started. It normally runs every 15 minutes, but for some reason it started early and then to make up for it, they ran it again just a few minutes after it finished. It was a huge bonus for me!
Finally, it was back to the hotel and after a really good day, I was just met with such a frustrating finding. My room wasn't cleaned for the second day in a row! I was so annoyed. I rang reception and they said I hadn't requested it but I absolutely had. I requested it at check in by ticking the box, and then again with the receptionist. However, I still disagree and think it should be done automatically or through door signs as is normal. After what felt like hours, they finally brought some fresh towels but refused to clean the room and didn't bring any toiletries so I asked for more of those and had to wait even longer before I could get my shower. Spoiler alert...they didn't come the next day either!
