Artful: Art Subscription Box (Review)

I shared Scrawlr a few weeks ago, but here is another art subscription box from Artful. Artful is a quarterly subscription box for people who love to create. Inside every box, you will find a selection of premium tools tailored to a specific style or medium of artistry. Each edition works closely with an established artist, who hand-picks the contents of the box and lends their expertise on how to use it via exclusive tutorials and content within our essential Artful magazine included in each box. With each issue, Artful seeks to inspire and expand your technical knowledge and proficiency across a diverse range of tools, helping you grow as a creative.

You select your first box from the selection of boxes available. The next quarter, you get the new subscription box for that quarter. These are dispatched on the 15th of March, June, September or December. Each purchase, supports Create with a donation, the UK’s leading charity empowering lives through the creative arts. 

I love how the box designs change with each box, yet they're always fun and colourful. I chose the box for calligraphy because it's something I've always wanted to try. This box teamed up with Tombow and features a selection of tools which mean you can start creating beautiful calligraphy immediately! 

Included in the box is the Artful magazine, or rather book...it is huge! It gives details and tutorials from artists, with templates, explanations and other inspirations too. In the box was lots of different marks with a variety of shades and tones. These include: 8 x Tombow ABT Dual Brush Pens, 5 x Tombow Twin Tone Dual-Tip Markers, a Tombow MONO Eraser and a Tombow MONO 100 Graphite Lead HB Pencil. There was also high quality paper and cards, with a Tombow A4 Bristol 250gsm Drawing Pad and 4 x Artful Blank Greeting Cards and Envelopes.
