Next Holiday Announcement!

I've been desperate for a true summer holiday for what feels like years now. For me, a true holiday is sitting in the sun, reading a book and dipping in and out of the pool. Growing up, I always went to all inclusive hotels and I absolutely loved every second. I had the time of my life meeting new people, having all the food and drink, getting involved in the activities and watching a show every night. It really was a dream life looking back. 

I do like city breaks and exploring a new country with everything the culture brings, but it's not something I would class as a relaxing holiday and usually I come back more exhausted than before. I haven't been to an all inclusive for years. Since Covid-19, I've been on a couple of city breaks (Poland and the Netherlands), and then Portugal (a very different party holiday). In the few years before Covid-19 hit, because I was a student and trying to save money a little, I instead went to Croatia (my first Airbnb experience), plus a university trip to Norway. So it's been 5 years since I had what to me is classed as a true holiday, when I went to Bulgaria. 

Well in 2023, that's about to change. I knew this year was going to be the year and it's also my mum's 60th Birthday. We had originally discussed going to the Maldives but ultimately and very sadly, Jess wouldn't come because of her college course, and my mum didn't want to leave my grandma for more than a week. Not an ideal situation given I was desperate for a hot, sunny all inclusive which ticked everyone's boxes, but was special and was somewhere I had never been. 

We considered the Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, Bahrain, Bahamas, Bali, Thailand and all the other winter sun locations. I've seen so many colleagues and friends go to Jamaica recently and I just couldn't get it out of my head. I ended up looking into it and found a perfect hotel. Sadly, it takes 10 hours on a plane, and a further 2 hour coach drive, but I'm sure it will be worth it for the 7 days of relaxation! 

It was booked in the middle of January shortly after returning from Poland and as this post goes live, I will actually be going in just 1 week so be ready for some more holiday vlogs!
