Napali Coast, Coasting Kauai and Goodbye Cruise! / USA and Canada 2024

My last day on the cruise ship was a day at sea along the beautiful Napali Coast with lots of activities and even more evening entertainment.

I woke up after a lovely lie in on my last full day on the cruise ship and was very ready for a day of rest. I started by walking around and taking in the beautiful views of the Napali Coast. It really way incredible and so mesmerizing. The pictures and videos don't do it justice and don't capture the landscape anywhere close to reality. Throughout the day I just kept looking around and seeing it from different angles and perspectives. My favourite was when the grassy, forest area appeared, but there was also a small beach bay area which would have been fun to explore. I couldn't imagine hiking and camping there though.

Breakfast called for a celebration with all the staff doing a conga throughout the dining hall and then going on to do a showcase. Their positive energy was infectious. After that, I headed to the ship pub to do the puzzle of the day, followed by the final quiz of the day. I actually didn't do too bad, but I do wish there was more questions on general knowledge and not US specific.
After that, I headed back to the iFly Zone for my go as the iFly. As I had been cancelled the previous day, they let me do it at sea. There was only one other person in my group, and she was a teeny 6 year old girl. Her lovely family took some pictures and videos of me which I hated initially, but on reflection, really thankful for and they make me look pretty good in retrospect. I was offered to do it 3 times as that's how many times she was doing it because she had paid for it, but after the first I was in so much many and struggling to breathe so decided against it. My shoulders especially killed for days afterwards and were so sore.
From there, I went to get changed again and then decided to try the cafe downstairs for the first time, for lunch. I really wish I'd have tried it sooner because it was delicious and everything was freshly prepared, but I was slightly put off by it being so far from the top pool decks. Anyway, I took it back to the pool and it was so lovely to have a little chicken salad, ham and cheese toastie, fruit cup and dessert whilst sunbathing and relaxing by the pool.

Due to poor weather and previous "accidents" in the pool, both the "Sexiest Man Competition" and "Staff vs Guests" Vollleyball match had been delayed till the last day and they were both also hilarious to watch and participate in. After a quick couple of swims myself and finishing my 5th book of the trip, I headed back to the room to get ready for a busy night.

I got dressed into another clean dress, as I'd brought the clothes anyway, then headed to the top deck to take in the views. It was another beautiful sunset, but with the island coastline, it made it even more special so I tried to take some nice photos. I kept forgetting to take photos of me in the evening so this was the first time I'd actually remembered whilst it was still semi-light outside!
Then it was onto a night of entertainment and boy was there a lot! It started with the best show of the cruise, performed by the entertainment team and it honestly blew me away. If I had the time and didn't need to pack, I would have absolutely gone back and watched it again. There was singing and dancing acts and it reminded me of Chicago.
Next up was the balloon drop. There was supposed to be one when we arrived in Hawaii which I actually think would have been better but it sadly got cancelled so instead I queued and watched the final night one instead. It was fun, but it was such a long and lengthy build up to a very minimal event. I think it would have been better to be like a 5 minute thing, rather than a 1 hour thing. Luckily, I found a seat to enjoy watching the disco beforehand!
I then went back to my room to pack, because I still hadn't really started and it was so strange to see all the suitcases outside in the corridors. There was an option to get the staff to collect them the night before and then take them out to be collected, but I thought this would actually take longer in the morning. I was WRONG. The queues for the lifts were awful and I waited almost an hour to get down. I was literally panicking and hyperventilating so much. It was stressful. Next time, I would defintely recommend getting them to collect and repacking afterwards, because that way you can just go down the stairs and not queue.
When I finished packing, I then went back to the side stage area. The night started with the guest choir which was bloody awful and then finished with the all star karaoke which was mixed, but one of them was great and she thankfully stole the show, won and was of course, from Yorkshire! Then it was back to bed for my last night at sea. I actually slept so well on the cruise. I don't know whether it was the soft swaying or the lack of windows but I slept like a baby.
