The Falls Inn - Niagara Falls, Canada Hotel (Review)
The Falls Inn Hotel looked great from the outside, but fell a little short on the inside. However I chose the cheapest of the hotels I could find in the area, and was overall pleasantly surprised. The hotel is just a short 10 minute walk from the bridge crossing and less than 5 minutes walk from the start of the attraction strip.
When I approached the hotel, it looked beautiful but it is a little misleading. I think they've recently rebuilt the front of their hotel and reception area. Here, there is a beautiful pool. I never saw anyone in it but there was a lovely good sized pool, hot tub and sauna. I unfortunately didn't realise there was a pool so didn't bring my swimming costume, but I did go for a little paddle and it was perfect and the pool was warm.
My room was actually on the other side of the hotel car park, so it was a quick walk to let's say, the more rundown area. I had to walk up some outdoor stairs to get to the second level, and these were broken and if I wasn't careful, I could have defintely fallen down them.
Once inside, everything was okay but just okay. There were a few awkward stains on the carpet and the furniture was very dated with large glossy wood features. The room looked clean, but there was a lot of dust everywhere so it hadn't been deep cleaned for a long time. The biggest problem was the air conditioning unit. It was frigid cold when I arrived so I turned it off and then it was so so so loud. Luckily, when I got back from the fireworks, the noise had stopped!
I did however really like the bathroom as it had a bath in it, which I was impressed with. I also had about 10 towels to use, which is always nice, and despite being really close to everything, it was so quite and peaceful, the beds were comfy and I got a great nights sleep.
