Royal Caribbean: Ovation of the Seas - Cruise Room Tour (Review)
Unlike the other hotel reviews, I'm separating the cruise review into a room tour and overall review so stay turned. Despite all the chaos from the whole cruise situation I tried to stay positive when boarding and walking into my room I was so happy! The room was just gorgeous, it had so much storage and so much space.
Walking in, there was an open space where there was a full length mirror. The wardrobe was spacious with a mixture of hanging space, shelves and drawers. It also housed the easy to use safe. Opposite was a desk or vanity with an LED mirror, plenty of plugs and a bin. Next to this was a double wide chest of drawers and a mini fridge, with the television above.
The television did pull out to an angle so it could be better seen from the bed, but I never used this feature because there was pretty much nothing available to watch on the tv without paying extra for it which was really frustrating. There was also a small chair to sit on in the lounge area which was in front of my "virtual balcony".
The bathroom was probably my favourite part. It was really quite spacious, with plenty of room for 2 people to get ready together. The shower was the best shower of the month with a moveable, powerful handheld shower head. It was also large and spacious, with a foot rest for shaving which I loved. The sink had a large vanity, plus 3 small shelves and 2 large shelves.
I had originally meant to buy some magnetic hooks to put on the walls for additional storage, but I had forgotten and I actually didn't need them. There was plenty of storage and 6 hooks in the bathroom and 4 hooks in the bedroom, so lots of places to hang things up.
Overall, I was so impressed. I couldn't have asked for a better place to sleep and I genuinely slept so peacefully. Given that this was the cheapest room available, I was really impressed by both the layout and the space. Of course, it would have been nice to have a balcony to see the view out from, but the actual room itself was perfect.
