9 MLM Business' my Friends Have!
I've genuinely loved sharing and working with small businesses this year. Having my own small business, I understand the struggles and what it entails, but I also think having an independent business and working as a distributor of a multi-level marketing (MLM) company can be very different. Often, they have a bad rap as people see them as a pyramid scheme, but that's not the case and any business that works in this way is illegal. I never knew anyone or saw any MLMs before I started my own almost 4 years ago, so whether I was oblivious or they've become bigger more recently, I'm loving seeing more and more people start their own side hustles. Today, I thought it would be fun to share some of the MLMs that are available in the UK, with links to businesses owned by my own friends too. Let's share the love and help everyone grow their own business!
- SheerSense: SheerSense is the UK broker of Senegence, a US company. It specialises in high quality skincare and long-lasting makeup. All the products are vegan, animal cruelty free and utilise science to create beneficial products. Of course, I had to start with my own business at Hannah's Lips UK.
- Scentsy: Once specialising in wax melts, the company is now so much more and if I was to switch to any, this would be the one. I love the scents, but also the cleaning products, and how child friendly many of them are. Sam works this business and has sent me a little sample pack to try, which I loved. You can read my full review here.
- FM Cosmetics: First specialising in perfumes that are stronger, more potent and long lastig, but cheaper than the big brands. Now, expanding their full range and another company I have also received a sample bundle of, from Charlotte. You can read the full review here.
- Usborne: I am so excited to share this one and it's one of the simpler businesses to run. Every child loves and needs books, so buying them through a friend can cost the same but also support your friend. Suzanne is a distributor of this company and I would love to send some sales her way.
- Everra: One of the newest MLMs and revolving around makeup, but specialising in false lashes. Claire is the most incredible makeup artist and her eye lashes are always on point!
- Tropic Skincare: Similar to SheerSense but only for skincare and at a slightly lower price point. Sarah loves the range and that's why she sells it!
- InteleTravel: In this case, representatives are classed as independent travel agents, who provide personal advice and booking for holidays of all types. Rose who I met through blogging says to get in quick for post-lockdown holidays.
- Avon: Probably the longest standing MLM and one that used to be very popular before the 21st century. I haven't seen any representatives for a long time, as other companies are taking over and improving, but most people are familiar with Avon so I thought I would include it.
- TS Life: This company is not one that I particularly support but they supposedly specialise in "optimising nutrition and skincare...to empower and transform". Karen has a very successful and interactive group if that's something up your level.
I'm so proud of all my friends and fellow MLM owners. I know there are so many more out there so I would love to connect. Have you got an MLM business? What are your thoughts on them? I would love to hear a range of opinions.
