Gousto: Sausage and Pea Farfalle (Review)

Given that this week's posts are all about the kitchen, I thought I'd share one of my favourite new-to-me recipies that I got from Gousto recently. This has been my favourite new meal prep pasta which is so nice. You can get 60% off your first box with my code if you would like to try your own.

This meal was a Creamy Sausage and Pea Farfalle. It was a simple pasta dish to make and as with most Gousto meals, the portion size is huge, so I split it into 3 serving sizes. I put it straight into meal preparation containers and it was perfect for taking to work. It also freezed and defrosted really well, meaning it was great to have over a few weeks, rather than back to back.

The recipe was simple and quick to make, with easy to follow instructions that I feel I will be able to recreate perfectly. To make, boil and cook the pasta as instructed. In a pan cook the sausage meat, either bought as meat or take off sausage skins from the sausages. I ended up cooking both for 10 minutes. Then add the garlic into the pan and cook for 2 minutes.

For the sauce, dissolve the chicken stock and add the soft cheese. Put this in the pan also. Let simmer, then add the peas and the juice of half a lemon. Add the drained pasta and the parmesan. The dish also came with a home prepped rocket salad, which would further increase the portion.

Like I said, it's super easy to make and I like how it can be broken down into steps. It tasted delicious, with the perfect amount of creamy sauce. It also had a great variety of textures which went well together. I would defintely recommend!
