The Harry Potter TAG!

You guys know I love Harry Potter so of course, when I saw a TAG themed around the franchise I had to do it! I feel like TAGs are super fun and add a little variety to the blog. A big thank you to Marisol for sharing hers.

I wanted to be really official so I went and created a Pottermore account and went through each of the processes to discover my true answers.

1. What house are you in?
I am Hufflepuff! Some facts:
  • Most renowned members: Nymphadora Tonks and Cedric Diggory
  • Produced the fewest Dark wizards of any house at Hogwarts
  • Traits: loyal, patient, fair, hard-working, true
  • I am a kind Hufflepuff
  • House ghost: Fat Friar
2. What is your Patronus?
My patronus is a West Highland Terrier! Playful, cute and cuddly!

3. What is your wand?
Hazel wood with a phoenix feather core, 11" and unbending flexibility. I loved learning all about my wand!

4. What is your boggart?
A boggart is known as a shapeshifter that usually lurks in dark spaces. It has no definite form but takes the shape of that which is most feared by the person who encounters it. For me, I think my biggest fear is claustrophobia so being trapped in an unknown tight space would paralyse me!

5. What position would you play in Quidditch?
I have no idea which position I would play because quite honestly I think I would be terrible at them all. I am quite bossy though and love being in charge so being captain would probably be a goal of mine.

6. Would you be a pure blood, half blood, or muggle born?
I actually really loved Marisol's answer to this but I've always wanted to be a pure blood. In my head, it's kind of like a royal and also, selfishly I don't want to be bullied.

7. What job would you want to have after graduating from Hogwarts?
Even thought we don't really see any doctors in the wizarding world, and even though they have magic, I would still love to be an obstetrician and help welcome the new generation into the world, day after day.

8. Which of the Deathly Hallows would you choose?
This is probably the easiest answer for me: the invisibility cloak. Given how highly sought after the Elder wand is, I wouldn't want that much power and responsibility and the thought of immortality and having to say goodbye to those you love, has never really been appealing to me.

9. What is your favourite book?
The Goblet of Fire without a doubt! It has always been my favourite book and film because I feel like it's super action packed and I love the different stages on the competition. It's the only book that I can read in full again and again. Unfortunately, I'm not a massive fan of the books because I find them too descriptive in general.

10. What is your least favourite book?
I find The Chamber of Secrets quite cumbersome but The Deathly Hallows is super long so it's a toss up.

11. What is your favourite film?
As I've already mentioned, this is the same as my favourite book, The Goblet of Fire.

12. What is your least favourite film?
Hmm...sadly I have to say the 8th. I was really disappointed at the lack of engagement. I think after such a long series and being apart of the world for so long, I wanted it to be epic and  unfortunately it fell for me. I was disappointed and thought it was lacking.

13. Who is your favourite character?
Hermione. Like many, I always identified her. I think being what I now realise was a bit of a geek, obsessed with work and extra work and bonus work. Plus, as an avid book worm, I just felt a connection to the female lead.

14. Who is your least favourite character?
I think while it probably should be He Who Should Not Be Named, but most people instinctively say Umbridge. Her extreme nature and the abuse towards the children in her care was utterly disgusting and almost unbearable to watch..

15. Who is your favourite teacher at Hogwarts?
I think Marisol summed it up perfectly. Professor McGonagall is the one I connected with the most. She clearly cared very deeply for the students, made sure they were well educated and provided them with life lessons and discipline to help them become better individuals. While she may be very strict and quick to implement punishment, she always did it with good intentions.

16. Who is your least favourite teacher at Hogwarts?
Again...Umbridge.

17. Do you have any unpopular opinions about the series?
I'm not sure if this will be an unpopular opinion or not but I hated that they changed the actors who played certain characters, especially when they didn't look and act anything like the original characters. For example, Lavender Brown (questioning race and colour), Marcus Flint (who became uglier as he became meaner) and most substantional for me, Crabbe (Draco's side kick)!
18. If you could save one character from the finale battle, who would you save?
Fred. My heart breaks. I think all the loses were hard but seeing his wife and twin lose him was too devastating.

I would love for any Harry Potter fan out there to do this TAG.

Plus, I want everyone to sign into Pottermore and find out your own answers as to what house, patronus and wand you have. Leave them in the comments below!
