A Busy Week Exploring Wales!

My dad recently moved to Wales and I finally got the chance to visit him for more than just a few hours.

It was a pretty busy week and very hectic so I ended up coming back utterly exhausted. We did things every day so I've decided to split up the activities over today's and Wednesday's posts!

Following on from wedding week, the day after the wedding, I headed home and watched mum unwrap her presents before she dropped me off at the train station. Well, after a little disaster with a phone and multiple calls later, I missed my train to Wales but luckily, my dad's girlfriend was in Leeds at the time so I went to meet up with her and she gave me a lift down. I was exhausted by the time we arrived but more than happy to finally be reunited with my father. On the way down we picked up a KFC takeaway for tea and then enjoyed a quiet night in front of the telly.

The next morning was my first lie in, in a long time and then I woke up to get ready for the arrival of my sister and her family. They arrived for a late picnic style lunch and then we all headed to the garden centre to look around and for my niece to play around for a little while.
I'm not usually one to get car sick but I've never felt worse than when driving to the waterfall that we went to visit the next night. It was cold and rainy. It was super slippy and not at all impressive to me so defintely not worth the long winding road it took to get down there.

One of my favourite days was when we went to the local village summer fayre. It was so much fun and way bigger and better than I ever expected. We started by looking at the birds of prey, they were absolutely beautiful.
One of the shows that was going on was an exotic animal show. The man was incredibly interactive and so funny. I was amazed that he let the kids go round showing the animals to everyone.

My dad's girlfriend was very excited to hold the big snakes!
They also had a show with all sorts of entries, from pictures, to food, to fairy gardens. It was a mismatch of very unimpressive work and I can't wait for dad to enter next year and win!
