My Mum Got Married: A Wedding Vlog!

My mum finally got married! After over a year of preparations, the big day finally arrived and the weather just about held out for the ceremony.

The morning started out bright and early for me. Much to my disappointment, I woke up at the crack of dawn and due to the sunlight, couldn't get back to sleep. I ended up curling my hair and then packing up ready to head over the the dressing room to have my hair done.

We all wore our cute bridesmaid dressing gowns and got ready but I was literally completely ready by 10am so it was a long 4 hours to kill.
At 12pm we put the flowers into our hair and threaded them through each hairstyle. They were all slightly different but we didn;t add any clips to mine so I had everything crossed to make sure they lasted all day.
The florist brought up the flowers and they were absolutely gorgeous. Just what I pictured and finally the photographer arrived. By that time we had already but on the dresses which was a shame because I really wanted them to be photographed first but nevermind. He took some rapid pictures of everyone and then disappeared back downstairs.

While we waited, I headed downstairs to see the venue and check everything was in order. I was very much disappointed with the chair sashes because they were completely the wrong colour. It was like a neon green, not the sage green to match the dresses as promised.

Then despite us all being ready, we had to wait for an extra 15 to 20 minutes before being allowed downstairs. It took forever and we all made last minute dashes to the toilet again and again. Then we finally got the call and headed downstairs for the ceremony and a fun evening party with a very difficult to manage band.

Just before leaving, I headed for a walk around the grounds and enjoyed the views before leaving.

I'll be sharing some of my favourite photo's from the professionals as soon as I get them! :)
