The Sunshine Blogger Award...Again!

I am so excited to have been nominated for another blogging award, this time a repeated one, but I still wanted to accept it and pass the love onto other bloggers. I've recently joined a couple of close knit blogger communities and I've been loving seeing them all on their own journey's. Writing is something I've always loved and have continued to do for a passion, but being recognised it always so lovely and appreciated. It's also the first award nomination for the year...fingers crossed for more!

Of course, first of all I would like to start by thanking my Twitter friend and fellow blogger, Grace, over at Grace by Grace. I connect with her on so many levels, as our blogs follow similar themes. We write with our passions in mind, and always follow our hearts, regardless of not following a specific niche. You can read her nomination acceptance here

Grace's Questions and My Answers

  1. Looking back to the time you first started blogging what is the one thing you would’ve done differently?
I wish I would have started social media pages and my domain straight away, but I genuinely don't regret the content, because I've always written from my heart...despite it not always being the most polished published piece.

  2. Who is your favourite blogger of all time and why?
I love reading blogs of people I know and still have a more intimate following, but my heart will always go back to the first three that made me want to start: Anna Saccone-Joly, Emily at Freckled Fox and Abby at Twist Me Pretty. Abby is actually the only one who still posts, so I love that!

  3. What is the most ridiculous thing that has happened to you since the beginning of this year?
Ooo...since the beginning of this year? It's only been 7 days at the time of writing this! Urm...maybe waiting in the car for 20 minutes for my Dunelm order, only to have to get out of the car and be told the system wasn't working.

  4. What is the most positive thing that has happened to you since the beginning of this year?
Having all my job paperwork come in and get signed off for approval. It was a little long and stressful of a wait.

  5. What is the one place you have always dreamed of going to?
HAWAII and the MALDIVES! I can't pick just one.

  6. Something you learned this quarantine?
That I don't love being alone as much as I thought.

  7. What book are you currently reading and how do you like it so far?
I'm finding it quite slow to get back into but I'm reading the second book in the Wilde series by Louise Pentland.

  8. Something you love about blogging?
That you can completely be yourself and the blogging community. It's so lovely!

  9. Best advice you’ve ever received?
At the 2019 International Day of the Midwife conference, there was an activity where everyone wrote their advice down and at the end they were given out. My favourite was something that will always stay with me: "Never quit on a bad day".

  10. What helped you get through 2020?
    Family, friends and my boyfriend.

  11. What are your expectations for 2021, if you have any?
To be the best midwife I can be and reach band 6!
