Booking my Next Holiday!

This time next month I will be getting ready to go on my next holiday and I could not be more excited. It will be my third holiday of the year which is very unusual for me to begin with, but if you told me even 3 months ago, I would be travelling alone again this year, I would have told you, you were completely crazy. I am in a much better place at the moment, and I want to take full advantage of the opportunities to travel whilst I can, so that is exactly what I'm doing.

I absolutely loved my week in Jamaica, but it defintely wasn't long enough. I really wanted a repeat but I don't love going back to the same country more than once as a big life goal of mine is to try and visit every country in the world...which I know is a long shot, but I'm more than willing to try!

I already had worldwide insurance for the year, so I thought I would try to make the most of it. My strict criteria was 4+ stars, all inclusive, hot, beach holiday with activities and evening entertainment, for £1000. I knew it was going to be a big ask given the budget, but I managed to find a handful of selections and jumped at the opportunity!

I ended up booking to go to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and will be staying at the Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort and Aquagames. The weather is expected to be a beautiful 32 degrees, albeit with the highest rain of the season expected, but still less than the UK! It's set on a beautiful private white sand beach, but it's also got a waterpark attached which I thought would be fun. For me, the entertainment is the main selling point. The daily entertainment programme is full of activities. I am looking forward to kayaking, aqua aerobics, snorkelling, archery, darts and dance classes especially! The theatre also hosts a schedule of evening shows starring singers, dancers and musicians. To top it off, there are nine different restaurants and 13 bars.

Basically I can't wait and I will defintely be sharing all about it in October so stay tuned!
