Recent Best Meal Prep Options!
I’ve shared a number of posts over the years reviewing and sharing Hello Fresh and Gousto subscription boxes. Especially, living alone I’ve really struggled with the motivation to eat healthily and cook for one. Having the meal subscription boxes has forced me to cook and also explore alternative meal options too.
I’m not a huge fan of cooking at the best of times. I also hate cleaning so I’ve found what works best for me is meal prepping. It means I cook 4 to 8 meals in one go and then batch cook and freeze a lot of the meals. This is ideal as when I’m working multiple shifts in a row, I can then just defrost them the night before.
I thought today I’d share some of my favourite recipes that I’ve made recently and suggest some alternatives. As a note, I’ve quickly learnt, garden peas are definitely not good after being frozen and defrosted.
My favourite ones recently have been based on meat, carb and vegetable which can be frozen easily. Meat tends to do well and the best carbs are pasta, rice, bulgur wheat and couscous.
