Tradesmen in Nottingham

I feel like after all the house work and renovations that have been made, I’ve had my fair share of tradesmen in and out of the house. It’s not been an easy ride, and I’ve definitely had some ups and downs with them, but I finally feel I have a good set of contacts to reach out to when needed.

Electrician - WireWork Electrical

The first electrician I used, was great. Unfortunately, he was apart of the building company which destroyed my bathroom and made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and unsafe so I didn’t want him back. Through “Which?” trusted trader scheme, I found another who has been nothing, but a dream to work with he has provided quick, reasonable quote, attended on time and quickly organised and completed the work requested.

Plumber - Koi Croydon

The company I originally found to do my bathroom was from a company that did complete renovations as a full package. It was two business partners which split the company and one of which was a colleagues husband. Well, big disaster choosing them and you can read the full story and all the details here.

I ended up searching on My Builder which is a site to find handy men and everything else. I’d originally requested some pipes be moved, but ended up using him to do all my plumbing work. He was always late and seemed to find problem after problem, but very easy to get on with and managed to get the job done eventually.

Gas - Ewan Gregg

My gas engineer was found through the plumber mentioned above. When doing the utility room renovation, in order to fit the cloakroom, some of the pipes ended up needing to be moved to fit in the waste pipe. He came quickly and did the job effectively and safely - I got it checked by British Gas to be certain! I also got him to come and do my annual boiler service check and it was a good mid-price range option and efficiently completed around my own schedule.

Joiner - RCH Joinery

Richard was wonderful and a complete pleasure to work with. He came to quote for work, with a comprehensive plan of action and extensive specialist advice. He attended on time, completed in the given time frame and is work was flawless. If I ever need more furniture around Nottingham in the future, he will defintely be the person I go to.

Cleaner - EverClean

As I've mentioned before, I recently got a cleaner and it has been one of the best £15 per hour spent. I hate cleaning and so it's nice to be able to know I can have a deep clean of my kitchen and bathroom once a month. EverClean have been great to work with. They are very flexible with the time allocated and the days to attend which I love. I can also text to rearrange or arrange additional slots when needed.

Window Cleaner - Sean Paul

Sean Paul is a local company that has since expanded much beyond one man. I am very pleased with his window cleaning service and overall pleased with the exterior clean he did, although not completely happy with the sanding finish. You can read my full review here

I’m sure I’ll be able to add to this list over the years, but for now, that’s the majority of the independent tradesmen and contractors I’ve used and can recommend. What other contact should I have on my database?
