Hunkemoller: Shapewear (Review)

Many women talk about the insecurities they feel within their body and over recent years, many influences have engaged in conversations about body confidence. It's important to recognise that women do not need to be thin to be healthy but unfortunately with media coverage, thin is seen as the dream body. I've covered body confidence previously with links to both Louise Pentland (Sprinkle of Glitter) and Bonnie Hoellein.

I think it's important to recognise that sometimes women need a little extra tender loving care and luckily, we live in a world where there are products available that do enable women to feel more protected. I've recently been introduced to two companies, Wingz which I've covered previously and today's content, Hunkemoller.
Hunkemoller is an online retailer who specialises in lingerie but also has swimwear and nightwear too. They have recently extended their range to include Shapewear and I think it's a great addition to their collection.

I recently got one of their underwear products to try and it couldn't have come up a better time. I ended up selecting Figure-Control High Knickers in Nude and size Medium. Described as high rise figure-control knickers to help control your tummy, hips and thighs. The double front panels provide additional reinforcement for an all round great product.
I think the underwear is really comfortable. I loved the colour and it fit great. The material is soft and stretchy but personally, I don't think it was very supportive. I loved that I could wear them without other underwear but I thought they weren't very strong. I think it's great product if you have loose skin and just want it to be smoothed out but for holding in fat and creating a slimmer profile, it's not up for the job as the material just isn't strong or thick enough.

Have you ever tried Shapewear? Don't be embarrassed if you have and feel free to share your favourite products in the comments below. If you want to try your own, there is currently a massive sale online with at least 20% off products!

NB: this product was received for free, in exchange for an honest review.
