Bare Minerals Makeover, Mamma Mia the Musical and Scaring Flatmates / Goodbye London - My Last Week Part 2

Following on from yesterday's post, that evening, Zhangqi, Sophie and I headed to Covent Garden to see Mamma Mia the Musical! I think we all wanted to see a muscial at some point and it just never really happened so it was nice to almost force them to come with me. Either way, we all absolutely LOVED IT! It was amazing and put us all in such a happy mood! Once again, a review is coming soon!

I am really going to miss the lat life, especially Sophie - and her blankets! I think she's going to absolutely adore her new room, now it's double the original size.

 

After tutoring all day, I made my way to The Stables at Proud Camden for a book signing event called #FabNightIn. As I had so much fun, I ended up making it a vlog all on it's own so be sure to check the post out here. I met Lindsey Kelk, Paige Toon and Louise Pentland!

I was also surprised with an email from Bare Minerals saying that I had won their competition for a makeover (or makeunder as they refer to their makeup). I've used Bare Minerals for as long as I've worn makeup and I love their powder mineral foundation. When I last went for a new foundation, I saw a little pot on their desk asking for business cards. Now, until recently I haven't had a business card, but thanks to my new business, I do! 

 They offered the makeover anytime before the end of October but as it was literally my last day in London, I cheekily asked if they could do it the next day. They said yes!

Katherine was already coming over so I thought I would surprise her. I could have invited another couple of friends but unfortunately both my flatmates were at university and I didn't have anyone else who was in London and available.

It probably wasn't either of our favourite looks...Katherine felt the foundation was too heavy on her and I personally didn't like the eyes, nor the matte finish. But it was very informative, we got free champagne included and it was very relaxing to have someone else do your makeup!

 Afterwards, we walked to Covent Garden and picked up a Lola's Cupcake before heading to Leicester Square and grabbing a late lunch-early tea. Yum yum! I finally spent the last of my voucher from the Tape Face Competition.

We even got pictures with the motorbike they have there! The last time I came here was with Jess and she was totally drunk and falling over everywhere. 

My last night living in London was just a relaxing and laid back one. I've spent the last couple of weeks tutoring students on different aspects from A Levels to the UKCAT and today was my first day off. I've actually really enjoyed tutoring and especially loved that it's covered everything I've done for the past 2 weeks and rent so it worked out perfectly.

I am sure UCL will forever be one of the hardest things I have ever done but London itself was amazing. It gave me the opportunity to do, see and experience so many incredible things. I never would have imagined I would love the city life so much but living there, it doesn't seem like the capital city of England that's depicted in films and TV shows. While there is the hustle and bustle with the atmosphere of that craziness, I got the chance to explore all the little things London has to offer. I found where it was quiet, I found the secret tranquil parks, I found the parts which felt like home.

I honestly loved it and I wouldn't change it for the world. It was everything I expected and more.

I think it's finally starting to sink in that I won't ever live in London again. While this isn't a goodbye forever, it is goodbye to it as my home.

In London, you don't plan. You live and welcome the unexpected.
