Full Furnished House Tour! (Buying my First Home)

I can’t believe how long this post has taken. Going into buying my first house, I genuinely thought by the end September everything would be completely done and finished. Well how wrong was I…here we are - 1 year since moving in! - and my house has finished all the renovations and I am so ready to give a full completed house tour. I am so excited!
I've linked some room tours throughout this post, but be sure to watch the full house tour on YouTube  for the full reveal as there have been some additions over the last few months. For those of you subscribed to my YouTube channel, you may have already seen the tour as it was actually posted a few weeks ago!
There is also a short version to be seen for a quick version of the house tour.

There are two entrances to the house, one leading into the hallway and one to the utility room. The whole house had a full redecorating paint job, but other than that, the hallway is pretty much the same, with just the door replaced, so that all 5 downstairs internal doors are now the same.

This leads into the living room. I reused all my old furniture from my rental property, purchasing a second sofa to match my existing set. The big difference in this room is the fireplace wall. The chimney breast got stripped and replastered. I ripped out the old fireplace surround and purchased a more modern sleek design, then wallpapered either side.

Into the kitchen, again pretty similar with much fresher and brighter paint, plus a new integrated fridge-freezer and oak wine rack. My old dining room table sadly didn’t fit so a new glass round table and chairs set was purchased with compliments the space perfectly.

My biggest house project was the utility room renovation. It started off as a bit of a building site with units taken down, so I completely ripped out the room and started from scratch to turn it into a smaller utility room and downstairs cloakroom. It’s been a labour of love and whilst it’s not quite perfect, I’m so pleased it’s finished.

Onto the upstairs, the landing had a fresh coat of paint, but the cupboard got completely refurbished.

The bathroom also had a significant change with everything designed again from scratch. I love how bright and light it is. The L-shaped shower is perfect for me and the new layout really opens up the space.

My master bedroom feels like luxury. With a deep green colour scheme, I truly feel like an adult and my splurge on the Hammonds fitted wardrobes and units were definitely worth it.
For the spare bedroom, I utilised my old bedroom furniture which fits perfectly and it makes a great guest room. To the eye, this room is such an improvement. The floral wallpaper was removed and painted a fresh pink, whilst the brown stained carpet was replaced with a silky, soft grey.

Finally, the study got a little live with some beading added to fill in the gaps on the flooring and panelling on the feature wall. Just like the linen cupboard on the landing, I also ripped out these shelves and replaced them with full sized ones for more practical use.

I was going to wait and share this until the garden and garage were completely done but I think that will be while as my cousin is currently storing things in the garage and the garden will always be a work in progress as I keep adding plants!
Of course, these are just snippets of each room and I’ve shared a room tour with all the details of each room on the blog so be sure to click the individual links for more details. Which room is your favourite? Which space has had the biggest transformation? Are you excited for the full reveal...hopefully in the next few months?!
